Franklin County School System closes classes for Friday

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A social media post from Franklin County Friday morning says their school system is closing today for precautionary measures.

Due to online threats made directly towards The Franklin County School System late in the evening on Thursday, officials said through their social media posts that all FCSS schools will be closed on Friday, September 6 for all staff and students.

Authorities are working closely with local law enforcement and the GBI regarding this situation, as heightened awareness is spreading throughout the area following the deadly shootings at Barrow County's Apalachee High School.
