A Franklin County man has been arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of children.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) reports that 32-year-old Joshua Buckley of Martin was arrested after an investigation that began in December of last year.
The GBI began their investigation after receiving a referral from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) regarding Buckley’s potential possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
A search warrant was then executed on Buckley’s home, and he was arrested on 11 counts of sexual exploitation of children.
Buckley was a registered sex offender before the incident and was booked into the Franklin County Jail.
HCSO, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, and the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Athens assisted with the arrest.
