White County's Fire and EMS crews stayed busy this past weekend with a commercial structure fire call in Cleveland.

A release from White County's public information department indicates that their 911 Communications department was dispatched to a fire call at Gateway Healthcare's location along Westmoreland Road just after 8:00 a.m. Sunday. Included in the response was White County Fire, White County EMS, White County Sheriff's Office, and Cleveland Fire Department.

Officials say the fire was reported from an air conditioning unit and was contained to one room. Gateway Healthcare's staff immediately began to evacuate building.

At the time of arrival, the fire had already been extinguished. Fire personnel then focused efforts towards checking and ventilating the building in order to remove smoke. Once the building was cleared, residents were then returned to their rooms.
