Georgia State Patrol officials say a Stephens County man's irresponsible behavior behind the wheel of his car is the reason why two county Sheriff's cruisers crashed into one another Thursday.
A release from the GSP says the 2009 Honda Accord of 42-year-old Romunzo Brown of Stephens County allegedly ran a stop sign along Prather Bridge Road after 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, failing to yield at an intersection. That forced two Stephens County Sheriff's Office vehicles also travelling through the area to swerve and avoid Brown, but collide into one another.
Neither operator of the Sheriff's Office vehicles was hurt, but the 2020 Ford Explorer driven by Sammy Feaster and the 2017 Dodge Charger driven by Cody Bearden sustained damage from the collision.
The GSP press release says Brown was arrested and charged with DUI, along with multiple motor vehicle traffic offenses.
