A Florida man was arrested on several traffic charges after he was pulled over for speeding on I-985 early Friday morning.
A release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy on patrol on Lanier Parkway northbound near Exit 8 spotted a motorist traveling at an estimated speed of 85 mph in a 70 mph speed zone at 3:15 a.m. The motorists reportedly stopped when the deputy activated his emergency equipment to perform a traffic stop.
During the stop, the deputy reportedly detected an odor of marijuana coming from the driver, Craig Charles Snipes, 37, of Holly Hill, FL. The vehicle also had several passengers, including four juveniles under the age of 14, who were not wearing seatbelts.
Snipes was also allegedly found in possession of two THC vape cartridges and less than one ounce or marijuana. He faces the following charges:

Snipes posted a bond of $11,100 and was released from the Hall County Jail on Saturday, Dec. 28.
