White Co. to offer free pet adoption through Christmas

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

White County’s animal shelter will be offering free pet adoptions through Christmas.

White County Animal Control announced the Clear the Shelter Event on Tuesday.

Officials also said all adopted pets will receive spay/neuter, rabies, and microchipping services at no cost.

“Our shelter is nearing capacity, and our Animal Control Officers want to see these pets go to loving homes for the holidays,” Animal Control Division Chief Don Strength said. “This is the perfect opportunity to provide these animals with a forever home. We hope families in our community will stop by the shelter and meet these pets.”

The shelter currently houses 14 dogs and one cat. The link to view adoptable pets can be found here.

The shelter is located at 680 Industrial Blvd. in Cleveland. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

White County Animal Control can be reached out to at (706) 219-7881 for further inquiries.
