White County Fire Services recently celebrated the graduation of four recruits from Firefighter I during a joint ceremony hosted by Lumpkin County Emergency Services on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at The Bridge Church in Dahlonega.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of training by twelve recruits from both White and Lumpkin Counties, including White County’s Dakotah Allison, Bryce Barrett, Collins Dunn, and Nathan Reichert.
The class began training in March 2025, with instruction hosted by Lumpkin County Emergency Services.
Over the course of the program, students completed National Professional Qualifications Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations.
The Firefighter I certification included classroom instruction, practical exercises and live fire training, all designed to prepare recruits to serve in real-world emergency environments.
The graduation ceremony was attended by command staff and administration from both counties and featured keynote remarks from Roswell Fire Department Chief Pabel Troche.
White County Public Safety Director David Murphy also addressed the audience, congratulating the graduates and acknowledging the value of inter-county partnerships in building a strong, well-trained fire service workforce.
“These men represent the next generation of dedicated fire service personnel who will help protect our community,” said David Murphy, Director of White County Office of Public Safety. “Their commitment to excellence and public service is something to be proud of, and we look forward to the impact they will make in the field.”
White County Fire Services also extends its sincere appreciation to Lumpkin County Emergency Services for the instruction, mentorship and professionalism demonstrated throughout the course.
This regional partnership continues to strengthen both counties’ ability to train and prepare firefighters for the demands of the job.
White County's four graduates will now begin serving within White County Fire Services.
