Officials in White County rescued a dog from the Chattahoochee River Friday afternoon.

A release from White County Public Safety said Fire Services responded to the area of Goat Neck Road along the river after receiving a report that the elderly Pitbull had fallen down an embankment and was stuck in the water.

Assistant Chief Josh Taylor and EMS Lieutenant Shad Sosebee entered the water and successfully retrieved the dog.
