A home that caught fire Sunday morning in Buford was reportedly the residence of a Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services employee.
In an update, the agency said the employee was not home at the time of the fire in the 1800 block of Patrick Mill Pace NE in Buford.
"Department staff are extending multiple resources to the family while keeping County dignitaries and the County Administrator’s office updated with any concerns or needs," the press release said.
Two dogs were rescued from the home. No injuries were reported.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services saved two dogs Sunday morning from a house fire in Buford.
Gwinnett Fire officials said units responded at around 6 a.m. to the 1800 block of Patrick Mill Place NE in Buford to reports of a house on fire.
The homeowner confirmed to 911 that the house was on fire and two dogs remained in the house.
Firefighters arrived around 6:07 a.m. and found heavy fire from a single-story, single-family dwelling on a slab.
The heat radiating from the fire was melting the next-door neighbor’s house siding. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines to combat the fire and stop it from reaching the neighbor's home.
Officials said firefighters gained control of the blaze at around 6:35 a.m. and search crews confirmed all residents made it out of the home safely.
Firefighters were able to locate the two dogs and reunite them with their owners.
Buford Gas and Georgia Power responded to the incident and secured utility service to the residence.
One person was treated on scene for a non-life-threatening medical complaint.
The homeowner told crews that he heard a loud boom that awoke him. He investigated the noise and found a fire in his garage.
The structure was a complete loss and three residents were displaced. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
Fire investigators said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
