The City of Gainesville's 2023 First Friday Concert Series comes to an end this week, but concert-goers have one more opportunity to head to downtown Gainesville for the final performance featuring country folk band Six Foot Ramblers.
The Main Street Gainesville-hosted concert takes place from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, on the historic square in downtown Gainesville.
Main Street Manager Nicole Parham says events are free and open to the public to bring the community downtown to support small businesses.
The main stage will be located at the corner closest to Roosevelt Square, at Bradford and Spring Streets. Bradford and Spring Streets will close by 3:00 p.m. to allow crews to set up the stage and other equipment.
Parham adds that Washington and Main Streets will be closed to traffic by 5:00 p.m. to get food trucks in place.
