GAINESVILLE, Ga. — East Forsyth stayed perfect and atop the Region 8-4A standings after a 10-1 clubbing of Walnut Grove on Thursday at home.
Cadence Alberty had a home run, two doubles, and drove in five runs to lead a 12-hit Lady Broncos attack. Leading just 2-1, Alberty smacked a grand slam to left field as part of an eight-run fourth inning to blow the game open.
Avrie Nowalk, Cali Marshall singled, McKenna Hall, and Reagan Bennett all had RBI hits in the big inning.
Alberty also earned the win in the circle allowing just two hits and one run over five innings, striking out five.
Malorie Watson took the loss for Walnut Grove giving up 12 hits and 10 runs (only three earned) over four innings.
Emma Smallwood and Hall each had two hits for East Forsyth (5-1, 4-0 Region 8-4A).
EAST HALL 17,
CEDAR SHOALS 0
Kaylana Curry and Day Banks each drove in three runs to lead East Hall to a Region 8-4A win in three innings over Cedar Shoals on Thursday.
It was the first region win of the season for the Lady Vikings (4-4, 1-3 Region 8-4A).
East Hall exploded for 14 runs in the second inning while Amari Burce and Aydan Gerrin combined for a no-hitter in the circle.
Burce, Elvie Armour, and Aniyah Smith all had one hit for East Hall. Burce, Armour, Gerrin, Kyleigh Kytle, Emily Ingbritsen, and Aaliyah Madrigal all had one RBI for the Lady Vikings.

CHESTATEE 1
The Lady Bears used a 14-run first inning to jump on the Lady War Eagles for a Region 8-4A win in three innings on the road.
Catalina Baronci drove in four runs on two hits and Kate Herren and Jayce Archer each drove in three runs for Cherokee Bluff (5-4, 3-1 Region 8-4A). Quinn Kiewert and Angelina Baronci had two RBI apiece for the Lady Bears.
Archer got the win scattering five hits and allowing one run, none earned in three innings.
Abby Plemmons had two hits to lead Chestatee at the plate.
NORTH OCONEE 8,
NORTH HALL 0
The Lady Titans kept pace with East Forsyth with road win over the Lady Trojans in five innings on Thursday.
North Oconee (6-1, 3-0 Region 8-4A) scored two in the second, fourth in the third, and two more in the fourth.
North Hall (5-3, 2-2 Region 8-4A) managed just one hit off North Oconee starter Maddie Johnson, who went the distance and fanned seven.
Mac Taylor took the loss for the Lady Trojans. Lasting just 3 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking one.
Ashley Callahan had the one lone North Hall hit.
