A homeless man was arrested after making people inside the United Way facility in Gainesville feel unsafe.
According to reports, officers responded to calls that Michael Smith, 30, was inside the business making people feel unsafe and “making threats to harm police.”
When officers arrived they cleared the building and found the man in an isolated room.
No one was harmed during the incident but officers found a kitchen knife and pocket knife on the man's person which were never brandished.
Officers arrested Smith and charged him with disorderly conduct.
