Gainesville City Council votes to approve rezoning for medical office off Limestone Parkway

By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

The Gainesville City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a rezoning request for a medical office on Beverly Road near Limestone Parkway.

The two-story 27,200 square-foot office will join the nursing home, dentist lab and assisted living facility all located within the Limestone Parkway overlay zone.

“It approves it for a medical use which is right in line with what we want to see the Limestone Parkway corridor be,” Gainesville City Manager Brian Lackey said. “We think this fits in perfectly with all the other land uses in the area.”

Lackey said that Gainesville has become a medical hub in recent years and having many medical facilities in close proximity will benefit citizens.
