Gwinnett County Police searching for two suspects in fraud case

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Tuesday morning they were searching for two suspects who allegedly attempted to fraudulently transfer $250,000 from a business account at Bank of America in Peachtree Corners.

According to a press release from the agency, the two men entered the Bank of America at 5500 Peachtree Parkway on May 18 with fraudulent identification.

One of the men portrayed himself as the owner of a local recycling business and attempted to have $250,000 transferred from the business bank account. At some point during the security check process, the transfer was halted.

"Detectives are asking for help in identifying these suspects to ensure no one falls victim to this fraud scheme," the release reads.
