The Gainesville City School Board Tuesday approved its Fiscal Year 2024 budget.
The budget will feature $95,580,697 in revenues and $95,960,480 in expenditures.
The millage rate will remain unchanged from last year at a rate of 6.195 which is down 6.6 points from six years ago.
"If we get a chance to ever roll back the millage rate some we will," said Gainesville Superintendent Jeremy Williams.
A minimum five percent increase will be given out to all classified salary scales with the total expenditure coming out to $500,000 dollars.
The Board will have to dip into about $300,000 dollars in reserve to help balance out the budget.
Additionally, 25 positions will be added for growth and in supplemental areas.
