The University of Georgia is looking to add more amenities for its students in the years ahead.
Two large building projects will accommodate its Athens campus students, especially incoming freshmen, upon completion.
The first building is a 565-bed dormitory for first-year students, which will be constructed on a parking lot at Lumpkin and Wray Streets in Athens.
The second will be a three-story, 68-thousand-square-foot structure to house a dining hall and provide more space for classrooms.
Reports in the AJC say funding for the two projects was authorized by the Board of Regents at a cost of more than $134 million.
