Authorities in Hall County are searching for a suspect in an alleged armed robbery at a convenience store in Murrayville.
A release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office Wednesday said the incident happened at the Texaco Food Mart on Thompson Bridge Road just before midnight Tuesday night. Officials said deputies were called to the scene and were told by the store's clerk that a male suspect had brandished a handgun and demanded money.
The clerk reportedly gave the suspect cash and the man fled on foot. The suspect was described as a white male with dark eyes standing around 5-foot-8-inches tall and weighing around 175 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing in surveillance video taken from the scene.
The store's clerk was not injured in the incident.
