Hall County confirms another rabies case

Hall County Animal Control on Tuesday confirmed a rabies case in Buford. This is the fourth case of rabies in Hall County in 2022.
 
Two dogs had contact with a rabid raccoon on Thursday in the 6700 block of Bass Circle.
 
The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab - Virology Section in Decatur, where it tested positive for rabies.
 
According to a press release from Hall County Government, there will be warning signs in the area where the raccoon was found.
 
Hall County Government continues to encourage residents to vaccinate their pets against the disease. The Hall County Animal Shelter is offering vaccines for $10 Tuesday through Friday.
