RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico — Spencer Ralston finished in a tie for 16th in his first-ever PGA Tour event as a pro after shooting a 71 on Sunday in the final round of the Puerto Rico Open.
The former Gainesville High and University of Georgia standout posted a four-day total 278 (10-under par), which was 10 shots behind eventual winner Ryan Brehm (20-under).
Ralston was just one shot off a top 10 finish. His only blemish early in the final round was a double-bogey 5 on the Par 3 6th to fall to 7-under. But he rallied with birdies on Nos. 10, 13, and 15 and on No. 18 after a bogey on No. 16.
