A man from Lula was arrested Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a Dec. 14, 2021, high-speed two-vehicle crash in Hall County which left the driver of the second vehicle with serious injuries.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office stated Eric Wesley Tidd, 41, is charged with serious injury by vehicle, speeding, reckless driving, following too closely and driver to use due care for the incident. Serious injury by vehicle is a felony charge. Tidd was arrested at a location on Limestone Parkway.

The accident happened at about 7:45 p.m. on Ga. 365 just south of Lula Road. Tidd is accused of hitting the second vehicle while driving 94 mph in a 65 mph zone. Warrants allege Tidd was using his cell phone at the time of the accident.

The second driver, a man, 48, suffered multiple cervical fractures which left him unable to walk directly following the accident. The Hall County Sheriff's Office was unaware of the man's current condition, and whether he recovered from the inability to walk.
