One person was killed and two others were injured after an accident on Interstate 85 in Franklin County between a box truck and a tractor trailer.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the box truck was traveling in the outside lane near Mile Marker 172 when it went off the road and struck the left rear side of the tractor trailer, which was broken down and parked in the southbound emergency lane.
The passenger in the box truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other injured people were transported to the hospital, but it was not immediately clear which vehicle they were in.
The wreck shut down I-85 Southbound for a time.
The State Patrol continues to investigate.
