Theft suspects arrested on drug charges

What began as a theft investigation in Jackson County ended up leading authorities to find drugs. As the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was conducting an investigation into a theft that occurred near the west side of the county, they found narcotics instead. According to Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum, Joey Levi Ledbetter and Josephine Louise Sapp were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin. They are also both suspects in the theft.

Mangum says the stolen property was not recovered.
