By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

A Blairsville man is behind bars in Forsyth County, facing a list of drug and gang charges after a traffic stop earlier this month.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office issued a statement Friday, March 28, saying a deputy stopped James Corbett Lee Anderson, age 41, in the south end of the county on March 13 after seeing him cross the double yellow line multiple times.

The deputy said he smelled a "strong odor of marijuana" coming from he car and ultimately searched it. That search reportedly led to the discovery of more than 78 grams of crystal methamphetamine, drug-related objects including a scale and packaging materials, and thousands of dollars in cash.

"James was also identified as a Ghostface Gangster gang member with an extensive drug history," the release from the sheriff's office said.

Anderson was arrested and booked into the Forsyth County Jail on a list of gang charges, as well as drug possession and trafficking charges. As of Saturday, March 29, Anderson remained in the Forsyth County Jail without bond.
