A Flowery Branch man was arrested Wednesday by the Flowery Branch Police Department following an investigation into allegations of child molestation.
According to Flowery Branch Police Chief David Spillers, the Flowery Branch Police Department received the allegations against 31-year-old Korentheus Jerome Bailey on Feb. 8, 2021.
Spillers said information and evidence surrounding the allegations were obtained and presented to the Magistrate Court of Hall County. Warrants were later received authorizing the arrest of Bailey, based on the facts and circumstances presented to the Magistrate Court, according to Spillers.
Spillers said Bailey is charged with Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Cruelty to a Child in the 1st Degree and Sexual Battery against a Child under the age of 16.
Stan Lewis, Director of Community Relations and Athletics at the Hall County School District said Bailey is a former employee of the school district. Bailey left the district in May of 2018, according to Lewis.
Bailey also recently assisted as a community coach with the school district, but no longer serves in that capacity.
Spillers said a “great deal of work,” has been completed in the case in accordance with the Judicial Circuits Sexual Assault Protocol.
Bailey remained in the Hall County Jail at last report, and the investigation is ongoing.
