A Cumming man was arrested Friday following an undercover investigation into explicit sexual communication with a minor.
According to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, an initial investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force determined 26-year-old Fredy Jesus Lora-zuniga committed the crime Friday afternoon.
Lora-zuniga is accused of using a cell phone to communicate with a person he knew was under the age of 16 in a graphic sexual nature, according to the release. Lora-zuniga reportedly committed the crime while at a restaurant in the 2,000 block of Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road.
The release describes Lora-zuniga as a convicted felon. He was also in possession of a handgun at the time the crime was reportedly committed.
Lora-zuniga was booked in at the Hall County Jail following his arrest and charged with electronic exploitation of a minor and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remained in jail on a $13,600 bond Tuesday morning.
The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Georgia ICAC Task Force.
