A teenager shot and wounded himself Sunday evening as he tried to pay for a meal at a fast food drive-thru in Oakwood.
Oakwood Police Chief Tim Hatch said the incident was reported around 5:50 p.m. at the Krystal restaurant at 3470 Mundy Mill Road.
"Reportedly, the pistol was accidentally discharged when the individual reached into his pocket to get his money to pay for his order," Hatch said in an email statement.
Hatch said the teen was not seriously injured.
He said the police department is considering charges against the teen. He declined to comment further on the case, citing the ongoing investigation.
