A 20-year-old man is in the Hall County Jail with no bond following a reported rape that happened last month.
The Oakwood Police Department arrested Christian Sanchez of Flowery Branch on Sunday, Aug. 1, according to Investigator Donna Bennett. She said the assault occurred on July 16.
"The victim and suspect knew each other from mutual friends but had never dated or hung out alone," Bennett said in an email statement. "The rape occurred in a vehicle behind a business in Oakwood."
Sanchez has been charged with felony counts of rape, sodomy, aggravated sodomy and a probation violation, according to arrest records from the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
