Lawrenceville man charged in animal cruelty, disorderly home case

A Lawrenceville man is facing animal cruelty charges and the Special Victims Unit is investigating after Gwinnett County Police officers found a disorderly home with dozens of dogs, both living and dead, and a young child inside.

Carlos Sepulveda was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, cruelty to animal and maintaining a disorderly house.

On Saturday, animal control officers responded to the home on Fountain Glen Drive to a call of several dogs running around the neighborhood, apparently escaped from the house. An animal control officer noticed the small child in the home, as well as a room in the house was filled with feces. 

They called GCPD to respond and SVU came to the scene. They found the walls and floors of one room in the home was covered in feces, as well as locating two dead dogs. Agents removed 30 live dogs, a cat and the deceased animals from the home.
