Police in Lawrenceville are investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Wednesday morning.
A release from the Lawrenceville Police Department said the shooting happened in a driveway on Pine Valley Drive just off of Paper Mill Road at around 12:45 a.m.
"Officers located an unconscious male lying in the driveway suffering from at least one gunshot wound," the police department said. "Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the victim showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene."
The victim's name is being withheld until next of kin can be notified, according to police. The only identifying information released was that the victim was a 38-year-old man.
Authorities have not publicly identified a suspect as of Wednesday afternoon, but officials did say it is believed that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
