Gwinnett County will celebrate the installation of two art pieces at the Bicentennial Plaza and Trailhead in Lawrenceville.
County officials said the event will be held on Monday, Jun. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Bicentennial Plaza at 275 S. Perry Street.
The stainless steel sculptures named “Make A Wish” and “Vibrantly Connected” were designed by Georgia artist David Landis.
“The sculptures enhance the plaza space and trail, representing Gwinnett County’s vibrantly connected community and beautifying the communal space for residents, families and visitors to enjoy,” a release from the county read.
Landis, Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III, and City of Lawrenceville Mayor David Still will be the event speakers.
Gwinnett County’s media relations strategist, Deborah Tuff, will serve as the emcee.
Parking is next to the Bicentennial Plaza at Lawrenceville Lawn, at 210 Luckie St.
