The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested two North Georgia men this week in separate cases involving possession of child pornography.
On Tuesday, December 1, Loyd Lewis, 57, of Hart County was arrested as he was under investigation in a narcotics case. At the time, Hart County Sheriff's Office deputies found Lewis in possession of child pornography. Local authorities call the GBI to investigate, and Lewis was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children for possession of child sexual abuse materials.
Lewis was booked into the Hart County Jail.
The following day, state agents charged Christopher Blackstone, 41, of Pickens County with three counts of sexual exploitation of children. The GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit began an investigation into Blackstone's online activity after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about an upload of suspected child pornography. Agents searched Blackstone’s home and electronic devices and found enough evidence to arrest him. He remains in custody at the Pickens County Jail.
The agency asks anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Unit at 404-270-8870.
