Suspect named in case of missing evidence

Gwinnett police are looking for a critical piece of evidence in a shooting last month and have now named a suspect in the case.

A domestic dispute seems to have incited the trouble at the Sportstime Bar and Grill on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth on September 16. After two people were shot, patrons of the bar were able to tackle the shooter and take his weapon from him, however, they laid the gun on top of the bar where it was stolen. Cameras caught a good photo of the man they believe took it and, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, they have now named him as 30-year-old Kyishon Alexander.

Police say Alexander took the gun and put it in his pocket as he was walking out the door.

The gun is considered evidence in the original crime and Alexander is wanted on charges of theft by taking and tampering with evidence.

Anyone with information on Alexander's wherabouts is asked to contact the Gwinnett Police.
