Gwinnett County voters advised to apply for absentee ballots

By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections recently encouraged voters to apply for an absentee ballot as soon as possible due to delays in the U.S. Postal Service.

Gwinnett County officials said eligible voters have until Friday, May 10 to request an absentee ballot for the General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election on May 21.

Voters can request an absentee ballot or check the status of their absentee ballots at MVP.SOS.GA.gov. For assistance, call the Elections Office at 678-226-7210.

Once voters complete the absentee ballot application they can mail or hand-deliver it to Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections Beauty P. Baldwin Building, fax it to 678-226-7208, or email it to [email protected].

Voters who applied for absentee ballots before Monday, Apr. 22 are asked to allow three to five days from when the application was submitted for delivery of the absentee ballot.

Those who haven’t received an absentee ballot within seven days after returning the application, or those who need help, contact [email protected] or call the Elections Office at 678-226-7210.

Voters can return their completed ballot in person at the Elections Office or place it in the drop boxes available at advance polling locations.

Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections is located at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, Lawrenceville.
