Friends of Lake Lanier seeks life jacket donations

By AccessWDUN Staff

Friends of Lake Lanier is seeking life jacket donations for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers program that supplies children with complimentary jackets at select spots around the lake.

The loaner life jackets are available at 18 beaches on the lake.

Friends of Lake Lanier is seeking donations of U.S. Coast Guard Approved life jackets in all sizes to help keep the loaner stations stocked.  It's all a part of the group's program to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and wearing life jackets.

Donation sites are located inside Bald Ridge Marina, Gainesville Marina, Hideaway Bay Marina, University Yacht Club, and the Lanier Project Management Office in Buford.
