A woman was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Dawson County fire station Monday night.
Atlanta media outlets reported the incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. outside the station at 170 Dawson Forest Road in an unincorporated part of the county. The victim and a man pulled their vehicles into the parking lot of the fire station, and the man got out of his car, fired several shots at the woman and killed her. He then surrendered to law enforcement.
Fox 5 is reporting there were two children in one of the vehicles. Neither was injured.
At this point, neither person's name has been released.
Authorities are not talking yet about a motive.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to process the crime scene.
