The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been asked to investigate what appears to be a double homicide in Fannin County in the North Georgia mountains.
The victims are a woman and a child, according to GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles. She said the man responsible for the deaths was injured.
The names of those involved have not been released yet.
The crime scene is at a location on Underwood Road, which is located off Morganton Highway.
