One person shot to death in South Hall QT parking lot

One person was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Quik Trip gas station in south Hall County early Sunday morning.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said just after 1:00 a man and woman were in the parking lot of QT on Gainesville Highway when the male suspect walked up and fired into the vehicle, hitting the man several times.

The suspect then fled. The victim was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said the woman knew the shooter, and he was arrested a short time later at a home in Canton.

Names have not yet been released.
