CLEVELAND — White County was throwing up touchdowns like a Fourth of July fireworks finale Friday night in a 42-0 rout over West Hall at Warrior Stadium.
Warrior quarterback J Ben Haynes completed 6-of-12 for 163 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 90 yards and three scores in the Region 7-4A game, setting up a showdown with Denmark on Friday for a possible trip to the Class 4A playoffs.
Cooper Turner had three catches for 68 and 2 TDs and Jesse Thomas hauled in two for 67 and a score.
Josiah Henriques led the Spartans (0-7, 0-3 Region 7-4A) with 79 rushing yards.
Darius Cannon highlighted the White County special teams with a 56-yard KO return to set up the first TD. Haynes found Turner a few plays later on a 21-yard touchdown pass.
White County (4-3, 1-2 Region 7-4A) scored 35 points in the first half, including a 40-yard pass to Turner in the second quarter to extend the lead, 28-0.
Defensively, Cannon had two interceptions and Silas Mulligan and Will Sampson each had an interception to give White County a season-high four interceptions.
