OAKWOOD, Ga. – White County finished off their season with a 47-6 win over Johnson Friday night.
Tripp Nix got things started through the air, finding John Phillips for a 21-yard pitch-and-catch four minutes into the game to take a 6-0 lead. Noel Lammers got his first of three rushing scores shortly thereafter from 10 yards out to push the lead to 13-0.
Lammers scored again early in the second to push the lead out further, but the Knights answered with an 81-yard touchdown pass to Monty Young to cut the lead to 20-6. Lammers got the momentum back for the Warriors, though, punching it in from a yard out to take a 27-6 lead.
The Warriors got one more touchdown in the second quarter on a punt return from Gaines Clark before rushing scores in the third period from Noah Williams and Cooper Garrett got to the final score.
