GBI arrest two Dawsonville men in connection to Bender murder case

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested two Dawsonville men in connection to the ongoing investigation of Hannah Bender's death.

GBI agents said on Monday, Issac Huff, 18, and Dylan Patrick Reid, 19, were both arrested and face a charge of concealing the death of another — while Reid faces an additional charge of tampering with evidence.

Since Bender's body was discovered in a shallow grave in Forsyth County, a total of four arrests have been made in connection to her murder.

Though, the man who authorities believed to have killed the 21-year-old Lumpkin County woman, Austin Todd Stryker, remains at large.

Stryker's fiance, however, Elizabeth Brooke Donaldson, 21, remains in custody who was arrested last week on a charge of tampering with evidence.

Last Friday, Dawson County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Jerry Kyle Harper, 78.

The GBI took charges against Harper Thursday accusing him of concealing the death of Bender who was reported missing September 19th, as well as tampering with evidence.

According to Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard, the body of Bender was found in a pasture off Georgia Highway 306.

Jarrard said it is unclear what the exact cause of death is, but the autopsy will reveal more information in time as the investigation continues.

"The investigation will continue and we will have to wait on the autopsy results to get 100-percent confirmation and then determine the cause of death," he said. "We will still be actively looking for Austin Todd Stryker."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office investigators at 706-974-6824.
