A Hall County man was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting a woman by strangling, headbutting and punching her in the face.
The suspect, Timothy George Stanley, 49, of Gainesville then took the woman's keys, trying to keep her from leaving, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.
Ware said in a phone interview that he was unsure of the relationship between Stanley and the victim.
A relative of the victim called 911 on her behalf, and deputies arrested Stanley without incident and booked him into the Hall County Jail.
He is charged with aggravated assault, battery and false imprisonment.
