City of Gainesville property owners will be receiving their tax bills this week, according to information released Monday by city officials.
Customers also can review previous years’ tax information online at www.gainesvilletax.org.
The city mailed the 12,728 tax bills September 30. The 2016 tax revenue for the City of Gainesville is $11.3 million for general government, debt service, and parks and recreation. The City of Gainesville also bills for the city school system which consists of 69.7% of the total tax bill - or $23.5 million.
Full tax payments are due by December 1.
The tax office is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist customers with questions. In addition, customers can review previous years’ tax information online at www.gainesvilletax.org.
