By AccessWDUN Staff

The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) is accepting applications for its 2025 community grant cycle.

“This program kicked off in 1999,” NGCF President and CEO Michelle Prater said. “Since then … we’ve given out about $3.3-million in grants.”

The foundation will take applications through Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. The cycle provides funding to non-profit organizations throughout north Georgia.

NGCF has been around for 40 years, and their mission is to help people and non-profits invest in the community.

Prater said that they also just finished their scholarship season.

“The last two weeks we have been printing scholarship checks,” Prater said. “Last year we had over 307 scholarships that went out for about $740,000.”

Any non-profit looking to apply for the funds can visit this link: https://www.ngcf.org/nonprofits/ngcf-grant-programs/

Prater also added they are holding a community grant application class on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the foundation that can be registered for at the same link.

“They’re going to learn everything that they need to know about the application,” Prater said.
