Spectrum awarded their $25,000 “Spectrum Digital Education” grant to Gainesville Housing Corporation to serve the community of Gainesville.
Spectrum Digital Education partners with nonprofits that share a commitment to using technology as a tool for opportunity.
The Spectrum Digital Education grant is awarded to non-profit corporations across the country that work to expand access to digital tools, skills training and resources in the communities Spectrum serves across the country.
Gainesville Housing Corporation will use this grant to support digital literacy programs to expand access to online tools and education in the Gainesville area.
“Technology is a powerful equalizer, but only if people have access to a computer and then know how to use it,” said Rahman Khan, Group Vice President of Community Impact. “Through Spectrum Digital Education, we’re helping our nonprofit partners turn connectivity into real opportunities for their communities, from education and employment to everyday connection and independence.”
