Heart attack killed man in White Co. wreck

CLEVELAND - The man whose car left Town Creek Church Road in White County Sunday afternoon and overturned died as the result of a heart attack, not injuries suffered in the crash.

White County Coroner Ricky Barrett Tuesday identified him as Richard Slutter, 60, Canton.

Ana Newberry, spokeswoman for the White County Fire Department, says Slutter's car left the roadway and flipped on its side.

Slutter was taken to Chestatee Medical Center in Dahlonega, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
