Woman injured in East Hall fire

GAINESVILLE - A fire at a duplex in the East Hall area early Thursday sent a woman to the burn unit at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle says the blaze occurred about 1:15 at 3148 Lothridge Road. Cagle says the woman suffered first- and second-degree burns. Damage to the duplex was put at $150,000. He says the structure was 80% involved in flames when the first units arrived, with flames shooting through the roof. The fire started in the woman's unit.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
