Another round of afternoon thunderstorms has caused power outages in northeast Georgia.

Georgia Power is reporting 11 outages in Gainesville affecting 4,570 customers with a restoration time of 6:15 p.m.

They also report 3 outages affecting 1,275 Dawsonville residents with a restoration time of 5:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning in effect for Hall County until 8:30 p.m.

There have also been reports of downed trees and roads closed throughout the northeast Georgia region.

A caller told AccessWDUN that Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at E.E. Butler Parkway was closed off, with them saying it looked like the road was flooded.

Jeff Gerrell with The Clean DJ called AccessWDUN and reported seeing multiple wrecks, with a Coca-Cola truck flipped over just north of Quillian Corner's intersection with U.S. 129. He also reported a car with a tree on top of it just before Enota Elementary on Enota Avenue.

Photos on Eyewitness News Hall County abound, with an anonymous poster sharing a car halfway submerged on Branch Street in Gainesville.
