Wreck seriously injures woman

GAINESVILLE - A 67-year-old Gainesville woman was seriously injured in a three-vehicle wreck Wednesday night.

Lt. Chad White of the Gainesville Police Department says it happened about 8:00 at White Sulphur and Howard roads when Nancy Blackmarr turned her car into the path of one driven by 24-year-old Louis Perez. White says a car driven by 60-year-old Viola Saxton then struck the other two. Blackmarr was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she was in serious condition early Thursday.

Lt. White says the intersection was closed for about two hours.
