Cartoon controversy to be addressed at Brenau

By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - If you want to know more about the unrest in the world over the cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammad, a Danish professor is expected to offer some insight later this month in Gainesville.

Brenau University's exchange program with Denmark's Aalborg University continues when faculty member Bent Sørensen offers a free and open-to-the-public presentation titled "Images of the Prophet: Denmark, the US and the Middle East."

Sorenson will speak at 11:00, Monday morning, Feb. 27, in Banks Recital Hall, John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts on Academy Street.

Sørensen's talk will address the current crisis sparked by publication of cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammad in Denmark.
