GAINESVILLE - Challenged Child and Friends of Gainesville has been offered a $100,000 challenge grant from the Buisson Family Foundation.

The challenge was issued Tuesday at the agency's annual meeting. Bob Buisson said when the first challenge is met, he would talk to Challenged Child about another $100,000 challenge.

"At first he said he will match what we raise up to $100,000 - but just before the meeting he decided he wants to talk to us after we raise the first $100,000 and give us another $100,000," said Maggie Garriott, Director of Development and Marketing for Challenged Child. "In other words, this could mean $400,000 for our endowment fund."

The challenge was issued in conjunction with the Buisson Arts Center of Dahlonega.

Major donors for the For the Kids Scholarship Campaign were honored as members of the Randy Owens Challenge Team.
